The issue called PROBLEM

Man over the years has been trying to make things easier for himself and his environment, but due to unforeseen circumstances, usually, beyond his physical control, he resorts to, in most cases, self-help which on the long run leads to other complicated problems. One then wonders why despite the numerous discoveries man has recorded over centuries, he is still under the whims and caprices of nature, which the geographers academically and philosophically calls "environmental determinism". Reactions are however rife on the way forward, hence the doctrine of necessity otherwise refers to "environmental possibilism" and "environmental probabilism". The above concepts are hidden in man's understanding of not only himself and his immediate environment, but also the forces at play in the universe which can be understood from different points of view. My submission, therefore, is that whatever man seems to be passing through and considers a PROBLEM is just a function of what he knows and how to go about it and these are enshrined in the forces operating in the universe which science and philosophy (and or logic) have some answers to. However, the metaphysical is often resorted to in trying to solve these problems militating against the survival, growth, and development of man. Whichever way man considers best in solving his problem, one thing should be borne in mind "harm no one". How you react to the above submissions are left to you...IEB

  1. Problems (difficulties/challenges) are part of man since man is a living organic entity. The changes around and with him are nothing other than actions and consequences of his misdeeds or errors resulting from commission/omission. This only can be corrected with time. One solution leads to another challenges hence, the circle of problems.............In all this let it be known that MAN has solutions to them all, its just a matter of time, and that time begins now!

  2. Policy makers should also look at things carefully, some problems can easily be waved through making a good and clear policies, e.g. legalizing weapons, drugs, etc. can add up to more problems in man's life. Not entirely on his own but by the act of another person. The challenge now is what policies should be of priority, how they should be changed etc.

One important thing is that the policies should be made in view of protecting the environment, human life, their welfare their rights and the scope of protection should be clear and how it is implemented?

  3. @ Princess, you are very correct. The above submission is a further confirmation of my my take. However, man can not and should not be an island to himself, hence, the need for policy makers and executive to synergize and channel resources towards the betterment of man and his environment. This, in fact, must be holistic in approach by taking into consideration all aspects of human endeavours: political, economic, social, medical, academic, tradition/culture to mention but a few.
